I was 19 when I wrote my first line of code professionally. What began as a quiet fascination with building things through logic quickly evolved into a deep commitment to solving real-world problems through technology. Over the last two decades, I’ve served in roles ranging from software developer and architect to senior consultant and project manager—mostly within major public institutions in Türkiye.

But after years of working within and around government systems, one pattern kept emerging: critical institutional knowledge was fading. The overreliance on external consultants, high employee turnover, and lack of internal ownership were slowly eroding organisational memory. This wasn’t just inefficient—it was unsustainable.

It was clear something had to change—and I decided to be that change. From that moment on, I made it my mission to fix what I had seen fail, again and again.

In August 2022, I founded SONNE Software GmbH. “sonne” means sun in German—and this name wasn’t chosen lightly. The sun represents clarity, warmth, and consistency. It reaches everywhere. sonne was born to do the same: to bring light to complex IT challenges, to warm professional relationships with trust and transparency, and to illuminate better paths for organisations.

A Personal Note

I didn’t create sonne because I wanted to build a business. I created it because I couldn’t keep watching institutions lose control of their technology strategies, waste their budgets on misaligned tools, or miss the chance to truly modernise.
